How To Create The Perfect B2B Christmas Promotions
You may think that those in B2C and retail have it easy for Christmas: a few free candies, an extra discount and they’re ready to wow their customers. The truth is that B2B Christmas promotions can borrow some tricks from their B2C counterparts. Just because you’re catering to other businesses doesn’t mean you have to be all “stiff upper lip”. Here are some ideas to help you get more customers, delight the ones you already have and gain their loyalty:
Give people what they want
OK, I got this one straight from my B2C Christmas promotions article because things shouldn’t be any different in B2B. Check out your CRM and see what drove the most engagement. Which of your services and products are people really interested in? Offer them a discount, a unique deal or a prolonged free trial.
Offer real discounts
Most SaaS companies offer a sizeable discount if you pay in advance for a whole year. But the reality is that you never know what next year might bring. Plus, let’ be honest: sometimes paying for a whole year means quite a hefty sum, even with the discount. Instead of trying to get more money out of your clients, why not give them a free month, a free upgrade for a month (maybe they’ll end up moving to an upper plan once they’ve had a taste of it) or some extra perks.
Take care of your loyal customers
“Hi there, Jim! You’ve been with us for almost three years so this Christmas we’d like to take our relationship to the next level. How would you feel about a free evaluation of X/ free access to Y for a limited time?” Make them feel special by emphasizing that this is not an offer everyone gets. Remember: of you show them love, they’ll do the same”.
Prepare some relevant content
Write a white paper or an e-book that you send to all your customers or invite them to an upcoming relevant webinar. Whatever you choose, make sure you have a relevant topic that actually helps them. You could offer tips for next year’s strategy, talk about industry trends and so on.
